ผู้สื่อข่าวได้รับการเปิดเผยจาก  นายภณวัชร์นันท์ ไกรมาตย์ นายกสมาคมนักประดิษฐ์และนวัตกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย และเจ้าของผลงาน ‘ลูกบอลดับเพลิง’ ว่า ตนได้รับเกียรติที่สำคัญจาก ดร.โยชิโร นากามัตสึ (Dr.Yoshiro Nakamatsu) ประธานสถาบันการประดิษฐ์และนวัตกรรมนานาชาติ และเป็นผู้คิดค้นประดิษฐ์สิ่งของที่ได้รับการจดสิทธิบัตรมาแล้วมากกว่า 3,000 ชิ้น ให้เข้ารับรางวัลในการประชุม World Genius Convention (WGC) ครั้งที่ 33 ระหว่างวันที่ 29 – 30 พฤษภาคมนี้ ณ กรุงโตเกียว ประเทศญี่ปุ่น โดยก่อนหน้านี้ ตนเคยได้รับรางวัลเหรียญทองแดงอัฉริยะ มาแล้ว แต่ครั้งนี้ จะได้เหรียญที่สูงกว่า โดยคณะกรรมการจะพิจารณา การยอมรับสิ่งประดิษฐ์ของนวัตกรรม ที่พัฒนาและทั่วโลกยอมรับ ทั้งนี้ ภายในงาน คณะกรรมการนานาชาติจะตัดสินผลิตภัณฑ์ที่เกิดจากการสร้างสรรค์ทั่วทุกมุมโลกและจะมีพิธีมอบรางวัลในเวลา 15.00 น. ของวันที่ 30 พฤษภาคมนี้

นายภณวัชร์นันท์ ระบุต่อว่า ทั้งนี้ ผู้เข้าร่วมการประชุมดังกล่าว จะได้รับโอกาสในการรับรางวัลสิ่งประดิษฐ์อัจฉริยะที่เป็นรางวัลที่ทรงคุณค่าและเป็นเอกลักษณ์ในงานนี้เท่านั้น ซึ่งภายในการประชุมจะมีบรรดาสื่อต่างๆ ทั้งโทรทัศน์ วิทยุ หนังสือพิมพ์จากทั่วทุกมุมโลกให้ความสนใจและสอบถามเป็นจำนวนมากโดยการประชุมครั้งนี้ได้จัดการประชุมขึ้นที่ศูนย์การประชุมนานาชาติโตเกียว ซึ่งเป็นหอประชุมและศูนย์การประชุมสำหรับจัดอีเวนต์ระดับนานาชาติที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในญี่ปุ่น

 

โดยศูนย์การประชุมนานาชาติโตเกียวเป็นสถาปัตยกรรมแบบอเมริกาที่ Rafael Viñoly ออกแบบให้มีความเข้าถึงง่ายและตั้งใจให้มีสถานะที่ห่างไกลจากชีวิตประจำวันของโตเกียว มีการจัดอีเวนต์ งานนิทรรศการ งานวัฒนธรรมนานาชาติหลากหลายประเภททั้งด้านนอกและด้านในศูนย์การประชุม อีกทั้ง ศูนย์การประชุมนี้ตั้งอยู่ระหว่างสถานียูราคุโจ ซึ่งเป็นศูนย์กลางการคมนาคมที่มีการจราจรคับคั่งที่สุดในโตเกียว
ดังนั้น จึงทำให้หน่วยงานระดับโลกส่วนใหญ่เลือกศูนย์ประชุมแห่งนี้ เป็นที่จัดกิจกรรมสำคัญๆ
ในระดับนานาชาติ

 “เรายังเชื่อเสมอว่าสิ่งมหัศจรรย์ยังมีอีกมากมายบนโลกใบนี้ รวมถึงสิ่งที่น่าอัศจรรย์ใจทางด้านความคิดและความสามารถของมนุษย์บนโลก รางวัลจากการประชุม World Genius Convention (WGC) ถือเป็นรางวัลเพื่อประกาศถึงความสามารถของบุคคลองค์กร หรือผู้ที่มีความมหัศจรรย์ในตัวเอง เราต้องการเกียรติยศนี้กับบุคคลเหล่านั้น เพื่อเป็นการให้เกิดการพัฒนาตนเองอย่างต่อเนื่อง สนับสนุนและเห็นความสำคัญในความมหัศจรรย์และความสำเร็จของนักประดิษฐ์ทั่วโลก รวมทั้ง เป็นการสร้างโอกาสที่จะนำสิ่งประดิษฐ์และนวัตกรรมต่างๆ ของทั้งทางสมาคมนักประดิษฐ์ฯ เอง และคนไทยที่มีความรู้ความสามารถ มาภายในงานนี้ เพื่อแสดงออกให้เห็นว่า คนไทยไม่แพ้ชาติใดในโลก รวมถึง เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการผลักดันประเทศไทยให้ไปสู่การเป็น “ประเทศแห่งนวัตกรรม นานาชาติ (Country of international innovation )” หรือประเทศที่พร้อมเติบโตควบคู่กับความเปลี่ยนแปลงและสามารถสร้างนวัตกรรมที่นำไปสู่ความเปลี่ยนแปลงได้” นายภณวัชร์นันท์กล่าว
