ที่สนามบินสุวรรณภูมิ สมาคมนักประดิษฐ์และนวัตกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย นำโดย นายภณวัชร์นันท์ ไกรมาตย์ นายกสมาคมฯ พร้อมด้วยนายพลสิทธิ์ พงศ์พัฒนะกิจ โฆษกฯ และคณะกรรมการสมาคม ได้จัดการต้อนรับ ด.ช.ธนากร จั้นอรัญ นักเรียนชั้นประถมศึกษาปีที่ 6 โรงเรียนวัดพิชัยญาติ ได้รับรางวัลชนะเลิศอันดับ 3 ในการเป็นตัวแทนประเทศไทย เข้าร่วมการแข่งขันรายการหุ่นยนต์ยุวชนนานาชาติ International Robot Competition (IYRC2019) ระหว่างวันที่ 1-4 สิงหาคม 2562 ณ เมืองแทจอน สาธารณรัฐเกาหลีใต้ พร้อมกับเด็กนักเรียนและผู้ควบคุมทีมจากโรงเรียนอื่นๆ ที่เข้าร่วมแข่งขันในรายการเดียวกัน โดยมีประชาชนและสื่อมวลชนให้ความสนใจเป็นอย่างมาก
โดยนายภณวัชร์นันท์กล่าวว่า ขอแสดงความยินดีกับความสำเร็จที่ ด.ช.ธนากร ได้รับในครั้งนี้ ซึ่งสิ่งที่ ด.ช.ธนากร ประดิษฐ์ขึ้นมานั้น เป็นหุ่นยนต์คัดแยกขยะ ซึ่งถือเป็นสิ่งประดิษฐ์ที่ช่วยแก้ไขปัญหาของมนุษย์และสิ่งแวดล้อม เนื่องจากถึงแม้ว่าหลายประเทศจัดการกับปัญหาขยะด้วยการรณรงค์ให้ประชาชนช่วยกันคัดแยกขยะ เช่น พลาสติก กระป๋อง กระดาษ ฯลฯ เพื่อนำเข้าสู่กระบวนการรีไซเคิลผลิตออกมาใช้ใหม่ แต่ก็มีคนที่เห็นด้วยและปฏิบัติตามแนวคิดดังกล่าวไม่มากพอ รวมถึง การขาดจิตสำนึกของคนส่วนใหญ่ที่ไม่ได้ตระหนักถึงปัญหาที่เป็นภัยคุกคามระดับโลก ดังนั้น การที่มีสิ่งประดิษฐ์ที่มาจากความคิดและจิตสำนึกของเด็กไทยที่มีความห่วงใยในปัญหาของโลกนั้น ถือเป็นเรื่องที่คนในสังคมควรให้ความสำคัญและสนับสนุนให้สิ่งประดิษฐ์เล็กๆ เหล่านี้ อำนวยประโยชน์ให้กับมนุษย์และสังคมโลกในอนาคตอันใกล้
“ผมขอแสดงความยินดีกับ ด.ช.ธนากร ที่ได้รับรางวัลการประดิษฐ์หุ่นยนต์ในครั้งนี้ ซึ่งแสดงให้เห็นถึงความสามารถของเด็กไทยในระดับโลกอีกครั้ง ทั้งนี้ เรามีหุ่นยนต์หลากหลายแบบที่สามารถช่วยให้มนุษย์ทำงานได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพและแม่นยำมากยิ่งขึ้น อย่างไรก็ตาม สิ่งที่สำคัญที่สุดที่จะช่วยให้ปัญหาขยะลดลงได้นั้นก็คือ จิตสำนึกของแต่ละคน ที่จะสามารถทำให้ปัญหานี้ลดลงได้ เช่น การคิดก่อนทิ้ง การนำขยะบางประเภทกลับมาใช้ใหม่ การคัดแยกขยะเป็นประเภทๆ เพื่อให้ง่ายต่อการจัดการ เป็นต้น” นายภณวัชร์นันท์กล่าว
ด้านนายพลสิทธิ์ โฆษกสมาคมฯ กล่าวว่า ทางสมาคมฯ มีนโยบายที่จะสนับสนุนเด็กและเยาวชนไทยที่มีความสามารถในด้านการประดิษฐ์เพื่อสร้างสรรค์สิ่งประดิษฐ์ใหม่ๆ เป็นต้นแบบ เพื่อพัฒนาสิ่งประดิษฐ์เหล่านั้น ให้ใช้งานได้จริง เป็นสิ่งที่อำนวยความสะดวกในการแก้ไขปัญหาของมนุษย์ ดังนั้น สิ่งที่ทางสมาคมฯ จะมอบให้ ด.ช.ธนากร นอกจากจะมอบดอกไม้ มอบเสื้อ Creative Youngter เพื่อแสดงความยินดีแล้ว ทางสมาคมฯ ก็จะมอบสิทธิการเป็นสมาชิกสมาคมโดยอัตโนมัติตลอดสถานะการเป็นเยาวชนด้วย
