นายภณวัชร์นันท์ ไกรมาตย์ นายกสมาคมนักประดิษฐ์และนวัตกรรมแห่งประเทศไทย พร้อมด้วยคณะกรรมการสมาคม ฯ และ ‘มีมี่ – น.ส.สุดทิดา อะนุสิน’ ทูตประชาสัมพันธ์ (แอมบาสเดอร์) ของสมาคม ร่วมลงพื้นที่ สถาบันการอาชีวศึกษาภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ 4 ตำบลบุ่งไหม อำเภอวารินชำราบ จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี โดยมี นายลิขิต พลเหลา ผู้อำนวยการสถาบันการอาชีวศึกษาภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ 4 ให้การต้อนรับ โดยทางสมาคมฯ ได้มอบถุงยังชีพและเงินช่วยเหลือ นักศึกษาที่ประสบกับอุทกภัย จากพายุโพดุล และพายุจิกิ จำนวน 250 ราย ซึ่งทางสมาคมฯ ได้มีการเปิดบัญชีบริจาคไว้ตั้งแต่ช่วงปลายเดือนสิงหาคมจนกระทั่งถึงวันที่ 17 กันยายนที่ผ่านมา มียอดบริจาครวมทั้งสิ้น 152,915.25 บาท
โดยนายภณวัชร์นันท์ กล่าวว่า ตนขอขอบคุณประชาชนที่ร่วมกันบริจาคเงินกับทางสมาคมฯ เพื่อนำไปช่วยเหลือประชาชนที่ประสบอุทกภัย ซึ่งการลงพื้นที่เพื่อมอบเงินและถุงยังชีพเเละน้ำดื่มมากกว่า 5 ตัน ให้ประชาชนในครั้งนี้ เป็นการแสดงให้เห็นถึงพลังน้ำใจของคนไทยอย่างมหาศาล ที่สามารถต้านทานมวลน้ำที่ท่วมในพื้นที่ได้ อีกทั้ง ตนมองว่า น้ำท่วมในครั้งนี้ ถือเป็นโอกาสอันดี ที่ทางสมาคมได้ถือโอกาสในการคิดค้นนวัตกรรมใหม่ ๆ เพื่อแก้ไขปัญหาน้ำท่วม และแก้ปัญหาที่ชาวอีสานประสบพบเจอในทุกปีคือ น้ำท่วมก็ท่วมมาก น้ำแล้งก็แล้งหนัก ซึ่งจะได้มีการคิดค้นวิธีการที่จะเก็บกักน้ำที่มีจำนวนมากเกินไปเพื่อนำน้ำมาใช้ในฤดูแล้งด้วย
